  • Relaxed central nervous system

  • Increased stimulation of digestion and elimination

  • Accelerated recovery from injury

  • Improved mobility

Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (LDT) was developed by Medical Physician and Osteopath Bruno Chikly. The “Chikly” method fine tunes traditional manual lymphatic drainage by teaching therapists to feel and interact with lymph flow, identifying its rhythm, direction, depth and quality. As a vital component of our immune systems,  addressing our lymphatic system is essential to our overall wellness.

Our Lymphatic system consists of fluid containing lymphocytes and other immune building cells. The system collects and carries  foreign waste cells and other substances such as hormones, toxic agents, debris, colourants, dust, food preservatives, germs, etc, towards our lymph nodes for filtration to be flushed out of the body through elimination.

Day to day stress, injury and inflammation are just a few ways lymphatic flow can become stagnant. Lymphatic Drainage Therapy is a gentle, non invasive therapy designed to stimulate the flow and efficiency of this system. Lymphatic Drainage Therapy has been found to help acute and chronic inflammation, bloating, digestion, pre/post surgical support, chronic fatigue syndrome, sinusitis, bronchitis, facial esthetics and so much more!

  • Please note! If you have been diagnosed with Lymphedema, have had radiation treatments or have had lymph nodes removed, you will need to see a Certified Lymphedema Decongestive Therapist. I can make an appropriate referral for this higher level of training.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy is a light, non-invasive therapy developed by Osteopathic Physician John Upledger. By targeting the central nervous system, Craniosacral Therapy seeks to release fascial and other soft tissue restrictions deep within the body, thus relieving pain, dysfunction and misalignment. Stress, trauma, postural holding patterns, repetitive strain and inflammation are just a few examples of ways our soft tissues can become “stuck” and restrictions can form, leading to misalignments within the body.

Using a very gentle pressure, Craniosacral Therapists are trained to detect and release these restrictions throughout the body, particularly along the spine and skull. The ultimate intention of Craniosacral Therapy is to improve mobility, improve alignment, balance the central nervous system, release past trauma and restore natural flow of cerebral spinal fluid.

Clients who have experienced Craniosacral Therapy report a significant reduction in pain, increased mobility, a deep sense of relaxation as well as an overall sense of well being.
